Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new business opportunities across Malaysia (SMEs, enterprises, and government sectors).
  • Conduct sales presentations, solution briefings, and demos for decision-makers including CIOs, CISOs, IT Managers, and procurement teams.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable cybersecurity solutions (e.g., endpoint security, SOC/SIEM, cloud security, penetration testing, compliance services).
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Work closely with pre‑sales engineers to deliver proposals, technical write-ups, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Malaysia’s cybersecurity trends, threat landscape, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., PDPA, Bank Negara Malaysia RMiT).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, system integrators, channel partners, and vendors in the local ecosystem.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and monthly performance reports.
  • Participate in local industry events, webinars, and cybersecurity conferences as a company representative.

Job Requirements
  • Experience in IT solution sales or cybersecurity sales within the Malaysian market.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals such as firewalls, endpoint protection, network security, cloud security, SOC/SIEM, threat detection, etc.
  • Familiar with Malaysian business culture, procurement cycles, and local customer expectations.
  • Proactive, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to engage with C-level and technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Experience in IT solution sales or cybersecurity sales within the Malaysian market.
  • Familiarity with tender processes (GOV/GLO/enterprise).
  • Knowledge of PDPA, ISO 27001, NIST, and Bank Negara RMiT guidelines.
  • Experience selling solutions from vendors such as CrowdStrike, Netskope, Mimecast, or equivalent.
