Senior SAP FICO Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO professional to take ownership of finance-related SAP solutions within an S/4HANA environment. The role will work closely with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to enhance system capabilities, support transformation projects, and ensure reliable day-to-day operations across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Solution Delivery

• Take the lead in developing, configuring, and continuously improving SAP FI/CO solutions within SAP S/4HANA.

• Assess business needs and convert functional requirements into effective SAP solutions, system designs, and technical-functional architectures.

• Work with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to develop solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with organisational objectives.

• Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes through system enhancements, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Projects & Transformation

• Lead or play a key role in regional and global SAP implementation, enhancement, and transformation programmes.

• Manage functional deliverables across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation and change adoption.

• Support business transformation initiatives involving finance processes and SAP capabilities.

• Contribute functional expertise to major system changes, upgrades, and other strategic SAP initiatives.

System Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide senior-level functional support for complex SAP FI/CO issues and ensure effective resolution.

• Investigate system and process-related problems, determine root causes, and recommend sustainable solutions.

• Work closely with users and internal stakeholders to improve system adoption and resolve operational challenges.

• Maintain system stability by identifying potential issues and driving appropriate corrective actions.

Stakeholder & Team Development

• Build effective working relationships with Finance, IT, business leaders, and other key stakeholders.

• Act as a trusted functional partner by providing SAP and finance process insights to support business decisions.

• Guide and coach junior SAP team members while sharing functional knowledge and best practices.

• Support knowledge transfer and contribute to the development of the wider SAP capability.

Education & Experience

• University Degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO, ideally gained within a multinational or internationally structured organisation.

• Strong practical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and core financial processes.

• Demonstrated track record in SAP implementations, system transformations, and complex project environments.

• Experience working across regional or global SAP programmes will be an advantage.
