Job Description

  • Build a solid understanding of company products, customer plant operations and business objectives, and applicable government regulations. 
  • Develop strategic work plans for completing sales targets and service/consultation calls with new and existing customers. 
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations on the company's innovative products, equipment and services. 
  • Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations; including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and employee training. 
  • Manage company products and equipment; participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place orders. 
  • Implement agreed upon corporate account commitments and proactively inform Corporate Account Manager (CAM’s) of results, challenges and initiatives 
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff; build strong business relationships and networks 
  • Follow safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Food or Agricultural Science or related field. 
  • Possess a valid Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel by car throughout territory, including periodic overnight travel, could be required to be on-call during off-work hours and weekends when needed. 
  • 1-2 years technical sales experience in meat, processed food, dairy, and poultry sector or the beverage and brewing sector. 
  • Ability to sell value-added products to customers. 
  • Carry aptitude and confidence to deal with large national and multi-national customers
  • General mechanical ability.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
